1. Information We Collect

To provide you with our core CRM, Auto Dialer, and SMS automation functionalities, AutoText requires specific permissions and data points:

A. Sensitive Device Permissions

In accordance with Google Play Store policies, we request the following sensitive permissions strictly for core app functionality:

  • Call Log Access (READ_CALL_LOG / PROCESS_OUTGOING_CALLS): Required to detect the end of incoming, outgoing, or missed calls. This allows the app to trigger automatic follow-up SMS and automatically capture unknown numbers into your Lead CRM.
  • SMS Access (SEND_SMS / READ_SMS): Required to send the automated template messages you have configured, run your bulk messaging campaigns, and track message delivery status.
  • Contacts Access (READ_CONTACTS): Required to allow you to select contacts from your device to import into the CRM, add to your Blacklist, or select for bulk messaging.

B. User-Provided Data

  • Account Information: Name, email address, and authentication credentials when you register.
  • Business Profile: Your business name, descriptions, operating hours, and uploaded logos.
  • CRM & Template Data: Lead data (imported via CSV or manual entry), task notes, and SMS/WhatsApp template content created by you.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used exclusively to operate, maintain, and provide the features of the application. Specifically:

  • To automatically send SMS follow-ups based on your predefined rules (e.g., distinguishing between New Leads and Existing Leads).
  • To queue numbers for the Auto Dialer feature.
  • To execute and track Bulk SMS and WhatsApp API campaigns.
  • To schedule tasks, reminders, and manage your local Lead CRM.
  • To enforce app settings like Daily SMS Limits, Blacklist exclusions, and cooling-off periods (Resend Intervals).

Crucial Note on Call Log and SMS Data: We do NOT sell, rent, or share your Call Log, Contacts, or SMS data with third-party advertisers or data brokers. The processing of this data happens primarily locally on your device to execute the automation triggers.

3. Data Storage and Security

The security of your data is paramount to us. We implement standard security measures to protect your information:

  • Local Processing: Lead CRM operations and auto-reply rule executions are heavily processed locally on your device to ensure maximum privacy.
  • Encryption: Data transmitted between the app and our authentication servers (for login/registration) is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS protocols.
  • Account Security: Your account is protected by a password. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.

4. Third-Party Services

AutoText may integrate with third-party services to enhance functionality:

  • WhatsApp Business API: If you choose to configure WhatsApp messaging, relevant templates and numbers will be processed through Meta’s official API subject to their privacy policies.
  • Analytics: We may use basic, anonymized analytics services (such as Firebase Analytics) to track app crashes and general performance. This data does not contain personal lead or SMS contents.

5. Your Choices and Rights

You have full control over your data within the AutoText app:

  • Revoking Permissions: You can revoke Call Log, SMS, or Contact permissions at any time via your device's Settings. Note that doing so will disable the core automation features of the app.
  • Data Deletion: You can delete specific leads, templates, or clear your entire CRM database directly within the app settings.
  • Account Deletion: You may request the complete deletion of your AutoText account and associated cloud profile data by contacting our support team.

6. Compliance with Policies

AutoText adheres to the Google Play Developer Program Policies, particularly regarding the handling of sensitive user data, Call Logs, and SMS permissions. Our use cases are strictly limited to core "Automation" and "CRM" functionalities as declared in our Play Console declarations.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the top. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
